Place Of Origin USA
Silamide thread from The Beadsmith is a two-ply waxed and twisted beading thread that is a great alternative to Nymo thread for bead weaving, looming, and stitching. It is also popular among quilters, tailors, and other sewers for its strength. This thread is especially good for twisted fringe, too. It is strong and resilient with very little stretch, so it will hold up in your jewelry and craft designs. This 40-yard card features a stormy grey color.

Great!
By oreadna on September 29, 2014

This tread don't stretch and comfortable to work with needle #10, and cube seed beads. For seed beeads size 11/0 it seems to me too thick thread.

Best Thread for seed beading
By KatBlue on May 8, 2012

I use all the Silamides for seed beading. They don't get tangled or knotted as easily as the Nymo thread. The colors are true and the thread is flexible. A great combination. I love Silamide

Great for beading!
By MyCariads on October 10, 2011

I love Silamide for a variety of bracelets I make. The color range is pretty good (though they need to come out with a real pink!) and the thread is strong. It also doesn't have much give which is great when you want to keep things tight.
