I have made several illusion necklaces. Swarovsky crystals do not in any way cut the cord. I use small crimp beads to keep the crystals in place. They appear to be floating. As long as you don't tug on the necklace the crimps shouldn't cut the cord. A longer necklace is therefore preferable.
Not good for bead weaving.
Thread stretches too much & is too stiff for bead weaving. Will not lay nicely..
Very good to work with glass pearls and swarovsky bicone crystals using right angle wave technique. It's strong and almost invisible. To make knots I recommend using glue like G-S Hypo Cement to prevent the knot is damaged.
I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this product. It feels sturdy, doesn't stretch, and it knots very easily.
