I bought these thinking I could just wear them as inexpensive 2" silver hoop earrings. Unfortunately, the silver was too thin and light so the hoops easily bent when I wore them.
This ring makes for the ideal size for a dangling earring which my husband loves me wearing.
I use these to make Swarovski Crystal earrings. I just cover the whole hoop with the crystals. It makes a nice, sparkly, going out earring.
Well worth it if Time Matters
I thought the price high, but when you take into account that there is no shipping or handling fees, and considering if you make your own hoops out of 20 gauge wire, the time involved in measuring, cutting, hammering to work harden, and filing edges, it's really not a bad deal. It's a matter of what your time is worth. I too made the mistake of bending both ends as the sites' info on "How to" tells you not to, at first. Now I only bend the end going into the ear with no problems relayed to me as of yet.
