Excellent Vintage Inspired Pendant
You cannot go wrong with this pendant to help create a vintage inspired necklace! I used the Gatsby Inspired Design for the necklace, with a small change of the closure for the necklace. Also, the directions called for the largest 2 sections of the wire to be 10" in length, which I found to be about 3 to 4 inches short, to allow for waste. Here is a link for the necklace:
Here is a of products I used for the necklace: (1) Kabela Design Antique Brass Small Beautiful Pendant, (1) Swarovski 1122 12mm Rivoli Montana Sapphire, (40) Swarovski 5000 6mm Faceted Round Swarovski Bead - Montana Sapphire, (44) Swarovski 5000 8mm Faceted Round Swarovski Bead - Montana Sapphire, (about 125) 2mm Antique Brass-Plated Crimp Bead, (1)
JBB Antique Brass Leaf Hook and Eye Clasp. Misc products: Wire Guards, Gold-tone stringing wire, E-6000 glue, 6mm jump rings.
I created my own earrings to go with the necklace: (2) Eyepin Antique Brass 2.5-inch at 21 gauge, (2) Antique Brass-Plated Earwire with Coil and Beaded Disk, (4) Swarovski 5000 6mm Faceted Round Swarovski Bead - Montana Sapphire, (2) Kabela Design Antique Brass Filigree Bead, (2) Swarovski 6670 18mm De-Art Pendant Montana Sapphire, (2) 6mm Antique Brass-Plated Open Jump Ring.
I bought four of these, to make two of the Ruby Jubilee ornaments. Made one with the siam-colored 12mm bead. Second one is still waiting to be made, but I'll be using Light Aqua (Lt Teal) AB Czech 12mm Faceted Round Firepolished Glass Beads, in place of the red. The aqua/teal looks so gorgeous against the bronze pendant (then it won't be "ruby" jubilee, will it?!) These ornaments are so beautiful! (Should be rated "intermediate", though ... not "beginner" ... they can present some challenges for newbies!).
I see A LOT of versatility in this pendant. Plan to buy more for different uses!
I wanted a simple elegant necklace and this worked perfectly. I simply glued the crystal in the center and allowed it to set.
