Truly nothing is as soft or as smooth as silk jewelry cord. Silk, also referred to as Naturseide, is the traditional stringing material used by beaders for centuries. Each 100% silk bead cord has a twisted stainless steel needle at the end, which saves you threading time. Doubling the thread is unnecessary, and the cord can be easily knotted because the thread has the correct twist. Each card includes approximately 79 inches of cord. This cord features rich purple color.
Diameter .7mm, Length 2 meters

I ordered the Griffind Bead Cord 100% Silk , no. 6, 7, 8 10, in colors Amethyst, Black, Blue, Amber, Beige. I bought this cord because I began making Mala prayer beads and this was the sugtgested cord, so I searched around and this was the exact cord and I couldn't beat the price. It is a wonderful product. will be purchasing more!!!! Thank you Art Beads for another great product!!!

Griffin Silk Thread
By bekindtoanimals on July 13, 2011

I have used Griffin Silk and Nylon Thread for over 20 years. I would not ever use anything but Griffin Thread for all my jewelry design. You can count on this manufacturer to supply the best in the industry. The only thing to take care with is holding the thread while in use with your hand as it might tie itself in a knot, I always check it before I string each bead.
