Detailed, Beautiful, and Whimsical!
This bead is so beautiful and detailed that it provides a vast array of creative ideas when you see it in person. In many ways, itlike many Green Girl Studios piecesfeels as I imagine a magical talisman for bestowing creativity might feel as I hold it in my hand. In fact, my mind was so flooded by inspiration the first time I held it that I simultaneously couldn't wait to begin a project *and* I was gripped by a fear of choosing the wrong one, and therefore not doing it justice.
This piece is so lovely that I was giddy as I started making the necklace idea I finally settled on. I stayed up all night working on it. It was just one of those projects you don't want to put down until it's done.
If you're waffling over whether or not you should get this bead or a cheaper piece, stop waffling and get this one. You won't regret it!
When I saw the face of this little bat...I knew he had to be mine. You can string this bead or dangle it from a head pin. This darling little bat can be used any way your imagination takes you.
This is going to be a birthday gift for a fellow beader, but it is so cute, I may get another one for myself. I am a big fan of Green Girl Studio and have never been disappointed by any of their products yet. I am sure this will be used in a great design.
I love this bead; I knew I had to have it the minute I saw it. But having received it, I realize that it has a serious flaw. The hole in it is vertical--from head to feet. On one hand, this is a good thing. It means you can hang it head up or (more appropriately) head down. But when I wanted to put it on a necklace, I realized the hole should really be horizontal--through the feet, for preference. I had really wanted to use it as a pendant, and while I can think of ways to do it, they all seem awkward. So while I love it, I am also disappointed with it.
