This bead has a softer sparkle than I'm used to with fire polish beads. I used them to make the Alexandria Bracelet found in the learning center (with some minor modifications) but think I would have been better off using something with a bit more punch. Still a pretty bead, just doesn't stand out much.
Great crystal bicone substitute
I love fire polish beads, and this one is a perfect example of why: they make great substitutes for bicones! Almost every project tutorial I've followed I've been able to substitute the called for Swarovski crystals with these MUCH less expensive fire polish beads. They add all the sparkle you need. Yes, there are benefits to the higher end crystal, but if you're on a budget these can't be beat!
I love the Twilight finish. It creats such a unique enhancement to other beads and colors. This shade works a beautiful neutral with a hint of golden undertone to add warmth to many different designs.
Being that my daughter is getting married this weekend and I make jewelry, I had to have theseTwilight (don't you love the name?) crystals to accent the powder almond pearls (also in my order) that perfectly matched the bolero jacket on my dress! Since receiving my Artbeads order, I have made the necklace set using the crystals as an accent. It is the little sparkles that add bling! And since I have leftover crystals, they will be used to make other works of wearable art.
