Material Gunmetal
Try this 4mm gunmetal-plated clam shell bead tip when you want a nice, professional finish to a necklace or bracelet. The shiny grey metal will blend well with darker jewelry designs and does a great job of hiding thread ends. The bead tip hinges shut at the side. One end has a divot that will hold the thread. The other features two rings that join together when the tip is closed.
Length 6mm

Clam knot holder
By Ann on October 15, 2014

I love working with these. These allow a more sturdy bracelet or necklace without the holes for the jump ring to tear/rip. I can make the knot and have the beads tight and secure. WONDERFUL!!!

I love to finish my necklaces and bracelets with these bead tips. They are shining, well finished and strong enough to play their role, they look like little beads.

Perfect solution for repairing a necklace
By gemmiegemmie on May 31, 2010

I was thrilled to find this item on you website. My daughter has this lovely rather expensive costume jewelry pearl necklace. (The findings are in gunmetal and there are knots between each pearl.) The preexisting clam shell bead tip broke off of one end of the necklace leaving a knot at the end. I saw no real way to repair this unless I was able to untie the knot and slip the stringing material back through a new traditional clam shell bead tip. Well I did not have to do that thanks to your clam shell bead tip because the hinge is on the side and the hole for the thread is on the bottom. I just closed the clam shell over the knot, added a split ring and attached this to the preexisting clasp. Perfect repair. Made both me and my daughter happy!
