I just finished using this pendant in a necklace for my step-daughter's birthday and all of us (including me) were dazzled by the beauty and detail. The colors are vibrant and very detailed. The gold leaf adds the right amount of shine. The hardest part of making it was deciding on the beads to go with it! I used the blue and yellow lampwork beads and blue and yellow glass drops with solids blue and yellow Swarovski bicones.
I've purchased several of the painted onyx beads. This bead is inspired by a painting by Mexico's renowned artist. I looked up the painting and the bead is spot on. While these beads are expensive, they are unique and provide a beautiful focal for any design. It can be framed in a simple twisted wire wrap and bail or just strung on with your favorite beads. I plan to do a simple kumihimo necklace which will showcase the bead.
