This bracelet combines the old world charm of lace and Kabela Design components with the sparkle of crystal. Beautiful little charms add to the Victorian beauty on display in this bracelet. Lace is a fun foundation for jewelry designs that can be embellished in unique ways. Learn how to make this bracelet and discover how you can use lace in your projects
Cut a length of wide lace approximately 6 1/2 inches long. We used lace that is 3 inches wide. Cut narrower lace to the same length. We used lace that is 3/4 of an inch wide. Layer the narrow lace on top of the wide lace in the center.
Pour out some Gem-Tac adhesive and let it sit out so it gets a little tacky. Apply a thin layer of this paste to the back of the narrow lace band and glue it in place on the center of the wide lace cuff. Allow to dry. Fold the ends of the lace in to give your bracelet a smooth edge on either side. Use the paste to glue the folded ends in place. Allow to dry.
Stitch the Kabela Design fine silver-plated brass double heart vine embellishment into place on the center of the cuff. Cut a length of antique silver-plated brass textured oval cable chain approximately 2 3/4 inches long or however long you need it to go across one side of the bracelet. You will place this chain to one side of the Kabela embellishment, down the center of the lace, so that one link of the chain falls over the end of the bracelet. Stitch in place and repeat on the other side of the embellishment.
Stitch a row of 3mm bicones in Crystal Golden Shadow into place above the chain. We used them to fill the gaps in the design of the lace.
String a bead from the 4mm Bicone Gilt-y Pleasure Designer Blend onto a 1.5-inch gunmetal-plated 22 gauge head pin. Attach it to one of the links of chain by creating a wrapped loop. Repeat this step 12 times, adding the dangles to random links of the chain.
String a Gilt-y Pleasure bicone onto a head pin, followed by the TierraCast antique silver small angel wings bead and another Gilt-y Pleasure bicone. Attach it to one of the chain links by creating a wrapped loop.
Attach the Kabela Design antique brass small crescent moon charm, the TierraCast antique silver spiral heart charm 13.5x10mm, the Kabela Design antique brass sparrow charm, the Nunn Design antique silver-plated pewter mini heart padlock charm and the TierraCast brass oxide pewter key charm to random links in the chain using 5mm gunmetal-plated 18 gauge open jump rings.
Attach one part of the JBB antique silver-plated pewter leaf and flower hook and eye clasp to one end of the chain using a jump ring. Repeat on the other side of the bracelet.
