Miyuki Tila beads make a rich statement when paired with golden accents in this luxurious bracelet design. This design is a variation of Cynthia's Spice Road project. For a sleek finishing touch, she used Cymbal components on each end to easily add the clasp of her choice.
String a Miyuki 5mm Tila transparent Picasso coated seed bead onto your length of thread. Use about three feet of thread with a needle on the end. Then, string three TOHO 11/0 bead rounds in silver-lined topaz onto the thread. Bring your needle down through the second stringing hole of the Tila bead.
Add another Tila bead to the thread, then bring your needle back down through the top of the second stringing hole of the first Tila bead added.
Go up through the stringing hole of the next Tila bead once more. Then, add three seed beads to the thread and go down through the second stringing hole.
Add another Tila bead to the thread, then go back down through the second stringing hole of the previous Tila bead. Repeat steps two through four until your bracelet is the desired length, keeping in mind you will be adding a Tila bead to each end to add the clasp at the end. The clasp also adds about one inch in length.
Your thread should be coming out of the bottom of the last Tila bead added to the row. Add three seed beads to the thread, followed by a Tila bead.
Add three seed beads to the thread, then go through the second stringing hole of the Tila bead. Add three seed beads to the thread, then go through the first stringing hole of the last Tila bead in the first row. Make sure you don't go through any of the seed beads, just the Tila bead.
Next, bring your needle down through the stringing hole of the next Tila bead in the first row, making sure not to go through any seed beads.
Add three seed beads to the thread, followed by a Tila bead. Then, bring your needle through the stringing hole of the first Tila bead added to the second row. Make sure not to go through any seed beads.
Bring your thread back down through the stringing hole of the next Tila bead.
Add three seed beads to the thread, then go up through the second stringing hole of the Tila bead.
Add three seed beads to the thread, then go up through the second stringing hole of the second Tila bead in the first row. Then, bring your needle down through the next Tila bead in the first row.
Add three seed beads to the thread, followed by a Tila bead. Bring your needle up through the stringing hole of the previous Tila bead in the second row.
Bring your needle back down through the first stringing hole of the last Tila bead added.
Add three seed beads to the thread, then go down through the second stringing hole of the Tila bead.
Repeat steps 7-15 until your bracelet rows are the same length, with just three more seed beads to add between the last Tila beads.
Add the three seed beads and then tie a knot with the ends of your threads between the seed beads and a Tila bead.
Start a new thread and position it so that it is coming out of the edge stringing hole on the last Tila bead in the row on one edge of your bracelet. Go through the first stringing hole of the first square on a Cymbal Piperi II 24K gold-plated bead ending. Then, add a Tila bead. Go through the first stringing hole of the second square of the Cymbal bead ending.
Add three seed beads and go through the second stringing hole of the second square on the bead ending. Go through the second stringing hole of the Tila bead and the first square on the bead ending. Add three seed beads and go back through the first stringing holes of the beads.
Go through the edge stringing hole on the last Tila bead on the other edge of your bracelet to secure the end to your bracelet. Go through the beads and the Cymbal ending again to strengthen.
Repeat steps 18-20 to add a Cymbal ending to the other end of your bracelet.
Attach each half of the TierraCast antique gold heirloom clasp set to each end of the bracelet using a 6mm gold-plated 18 gauge open jump ring for each.
