It's fun to come up with unique patterns using stitches like brick and peyote stitch. Cynthia chose peyote stitch for the focal in this necklace and created a pattern reminiscent of a Persian Tapestry. She used TOHO Treasure beads for this stitch, since they line up so nicely and are so consistent. With your needle coming out of the last seed bead on the last row, add eight gold seed beads to the thread. Loop around and go through the next seed bead over in the last row. Add another gold seed bead to the thread. Go back through the last seed bead in the last row and loop through all of the seed beads to reinforce the loop. Weave over to the last seed bead on the other end of the row and repeat. Weave your thread into the stitch to secure and trim.

Add a 9 1/2-inch length of 4mm gold-plated rolo chain to one loop at the top of your peyote stitch using a 5.5mm satin Hamilton gold-plated 20 gauge open jump ring. Repeat on the other loop of the peyote stitch.

Attach each half of the TierraCast antique gold large beaded clasp set to each end of the necklace using a jump ring for each.
