Thread wrapping allows you to create a colorful look, like this fun bracelet Cheri used embroidery floss found at the local craft store to create an amazing color palette that's easy to add to your style. Step-by-Step Instructions Expand All Steps

Attach a 6mm antique copper-plated closed jump ring to a JBB 5mm antique copper-plated brass leaves swivel end cap using a 4.5mm antique copper-plated 21 gauge open jump ring. Attach a 12x6.5mm antique copper-plated closed jump ring to another end cap using a 4.5mm open jump ring.

Determine how much Leather Cord USA 5mm natural light brown round leather is needed for a bracelet, keeping in mind the length of the clasp will add about 1 1/4 inch of length. Cut the leather to size and then use Super New Glue to attach the end caps to each end of the leather.

Choose five to six colors of embroidery floss (found at your local craft store) for creating the color blocks in this thread wrapped bracelet. Wrap the threads around the leather core. You do not need to knot the threads together. You can just begin wrapping with the thread color you want to use first around the leather and other threads, right up against one of the end caps.

After a few wraps of the first color, pull your bundle of threads so that the tails are not exposed anymore. Then, continue wrapping until you are ready to change colors. To switch colors, put the color you were wrapping with back into the bundle and pull out a new color. Start wrapping with the new color.

Continue switching colors as you like, when you reach the end ofy our bracelet, make a knot around the leather with the thread. Put the thread onto a big eye needle and insert it into a few wraps and pull the thread through to hide and secure it. Trim any tails.
