In this necklace, TierraCast components are the perfectly complement to the enchanting colors of the Artbeads Designer Seed Bead Blend. Brass oxide findings bring rich tones, while purples, greens and pinks dance together in magical harmony. It's no wonder these are some of Cynthia's favorite components See more of Cynthia's favorite TierraCast components in this Artbeads Cafe episode.
Use a 2-inch antique brass-plated 20 gauge eye pin, seed beads from the Artbeads Viola Designer Seed Bead Blend and the TierraCast antique gold-plated pewter bird in a tree pendant to make the focal piece of this necklace. Start by knotting thread to the loop of the eye pin. Add approximately 17 seed beads from the blend to the thread. Add the pendant to the thread and add 17 more seed beads. Bring your needle through the loop of the eye pin and tighten to make a loop of seed beads.
Repeat this pattern three times, then add your beaded tree focal to the wire. Mirror the bead pattern on the other side of the pendant. String a crimp tube onto the wire, followed by a jump ring. Go back through the crimp tube and crimp in place. Trim any excess wire.
Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown below with quantities. Sometimes we sell out of components and aren’t able to order more from the manufacturer (we know, it is very disappointing to us, too). Use the opportunity to mix up the design and make it yours by substituting similar products or altering the entire color scheme—it’s up to you!
