Clasps are an integral part of jewelry-making and often they can draw attention just as much as other components. This bracelet showcases a multi-strand cameo clasp at the center of the design. Cheri used Beadlinx chain and her own beaded links featuring crystals for a sophisticated look full of style. Find more inspiration for using clasps in your jewelry designs in this Artbeads Cafe episode.
Attach two 4.5mm gunmetal-plated 21 gauge open jump rings together. Then, attach them to a 5.5mm gunmetal-plated 21 gauge open jump ring. Attach another 4.5mm jump ring to the other side of the 5.5mm jump ring. Attach this chain of jump rings to one of the loops on the cameo half of the black copper 2-strand box clasp with black and white cameo with crystals so that the big jump ring is the second to the top of the clasp. Attach the other end of the chain to the other loop on this half of the clasp.
Attach this chain to the jump ring at the top of the cameo clasp and then attach the other end to the corresponding jump ring on the other half of the clasp (make sure to have a few extra eye pins on hand, as you may have to remake the Beadlinx links that attach to the jump ring, depending on how the chain is cut).
Attach this chain to the same jump ring at the top of the cameo clasp as the previous chain and then attach the other end to the corresponding jump ring on the other half of the clasp.
Attach this chain to the large jump ring on the cameo clasp half and then attach the other end to the second jump ring on the other half of the clasp.
Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown below with quantities. Sometimes we sell out of components and aren’t able to order more from the manufacturer (we know, it is very disappointing to us, too). Use the opportunity to mix up the design and make it yours by substituting similar products or altering the entire color scheme—it’s up to you!
