Using a Gemstone Blend to create a color-blocked look that flows beautifully on each strand of this necklace was a fun challenge.

The vibrant colors of our Joy Gemstone Designer Blend can help you create a variety of jewelry styles. Here, they are used in a glamorous yet playful multi-strand style. The colors are scattered throughout each strand, but in a sophisticated color block. Wear this beauty with all black to make the colors really stand out.

Cut a length of jewelry wire approximately 18 inches long. Slide a sterling silver 2x2mm crimp tube onto one end, followed by a 925/10 silver-filled 8mm 16 gauge open jump ring. Bring the wire back through the crimp tube and crimp in place. Repeat two times, for a total of three strands.

Attach each strand to each loop on the JBB sterling silver 3-strand square magnetic clasp with flowers using a jump ring for each.

Add a random, color-blocked pattern to the top strand using the Artbeads Joy Designer Blend and 3mm sterling silver faceted spacer beads. We used Turquoise, gray, pink and purple colors toward the outside ends of the strand and green and turquoise colors toward the center of the strand. Our first strand includes 75 gemstone beads and eight silver spacers. When you are satisfied with the strand, add a crimp tube and a jump ring, bring the wire back through the crimp tube and crimp in place.

For the middle strand, follow the color-blocked pattern of the first strand loosely, to create a cohesive look. It doesn't have to be exactly the same, but you want your general color blocks and spacer positions to be similar. You do want a few more beads than your first strand to add a little bit of length. Our second strand includes 78 gemstone beads and nine silver spacers. When you are satisfied with the strand, add a crimp tube and a jump ring, bring the wire back through the crimp tube and crimp in place.

For the last and outer strand, follow the color-blocked pattern of the first two strands. Our third strand includes 80 gemstone beads and nine silver spacers. When you are satisfied with the strand, add a crimp tube and a jump ring, bring the wire back through the crimp tube and crimp in place.

Attach the ends of your strands to the respective loops on the other half of the clasp using a jump ring for each.
