Jesse James Beads offers Bead Mixes that pair perfectly with our beautiful line of Artbeads Designer Blends. Cheri used the Tucson Sunset Bead Mix with our corresponding Seed Bead Blend to create this fabulous charm bracelet, but you can choose whatever Jesse James Bead Mix you like. The colors work wonderfully together, so she could put her focus on designing a spectacular jewelry piece. Plenty of beads were left over in the Bead Mix and the Seed Bead Blend, so you can even make matching earrings or a necklace Choose your favorite Bead Mixes and Seed Bead Blends to make your own version of this design.
You want to create the ends of your bracelet first to get the sizing right while making it. Connect the 12x6.5mm silver-plated trigger clasp to a TierraCast silver antique beaded 5-1 link using three sterling silver 6.10mm open jump rings linked together. Add three 6.10mm jump rings linked together to the other 5-1 link. Attach your trigger clasp to the last jump ring attached to the other link.
You're going to create the elephant charm strand of your bracelet first and base the sizing of the other strands off of that. This strand features dangles made with beads from the Jesse James Beads Design Elements Bead Mix in Tucson Sunset, but you can choose whatever Jesse James mix you like right here. Slide a bead from the mix onto a 2-inch antique brass-plated 20 gauge eye pin and make a wrapped loop at the top of the bead. Use the simple loop to attach the elephant charm from the mix to the dangle.
You can choose your favorite beads from the mix to make the rest of the dangles for this strand. We made 12 dangles. We added beads to head pins and made wrapped loops to finish the dangles. We made six dangles with TierraCast 2-inch 20 gauge brass oxide pewter head pins. These don't have to match, but we did make two of the same (two orange drop dangles). We made six dangles with sterling silver 2-inch 20 gauge head pins. Two of these dangles match (large blue and silver bead dangles) and two are made with a single smaller bead from the mix. We attached a smaller single bead dangle to each of the large blue and silver bead dangles with a sterling silver 4.60mm open jump ring. We then attached another jump ring to that jump ring for both of those joined dangles.
Cut a length of jewelry wire approximately 10 inches long. We recommend building your strand from the center and working out from both sides, like so:
Add your elephant dangle to the center
Add two seed beads on each side
Add a bead from the mix to each side
Two seed beads
One dangle
Two seed beads
One bead from the mix

Add a sterling silver 2x2mm crimp tube to each end of this strand and bring the ends through 4.60mm jump rings attached to the last loops on the ends of your bracelet. Bring the wire ends back through the crimp tubes. Test the length on a wrist or cone and add or remove beads from the ends of the strand to adjust if necessary. Once the strand is exactly how you want it, crimp the tubes in place and add sterling silver 3mm crimp covers.
Cut a length of jewelry wire approximately 10 inches long. Slide a crimp tube onto the end. Then, bring the end of the wire through a 4.60mm jump ring. Bring the wire back through the crimp tube and crimp in place. Hide the crimp with a crimp cover.
String a random pattern of seed beads from the Artbeads Tucson Sunset Designer Blend onto the wire. Make this strand the same length as the elephant charm strand. Add a crimp tube to the wire and bring the wire through a 4.60mm jump ring attached to the center loop on the other 5-1 link. Bring the wire back through the crimp tube. Before crimping in place, check the fit and add or subtract beads to match the length of the elephant charm strand if necessary. Once the size is to your liking, crimp the tube in place and hide with a crimp cover. Repeat steps six and seven to create a third strand, which will be attached to the bracelet just above the elephant charm strand.
We will now make the fourth strand with tassels and drop beads. Cut a length of jewelry wire approximately 10 inches long. Add five seed beads to the strand, followed by a drop bead from the mix. Add nine seed beads, followed by a tassel from the mix. Repeat the pattern of nine seed beads and a tassel/drop bead, making sure to alternate the use of drop beads and tassels. Repeat until there are four tassels and four drop beads on the strand. Add five seed beads to the end of the strand.
Add a crimp tube to each end of this strand and bring the ends through 4.60mm jump rings attached to the top loops on the ends of your bracelet. Bring the wire ends back through the crimp tubes. Test the fit and add or remove beads from the ends of the strand to adjust the length if necessary. Crimp the tubes in place and add crimp covers.
We will now make the fifth strand with the small orange dangles. Add a small orange teardrop bead from the mix to a sterling silver 1 1/2-inch 24 gauge head pin and make a wrapped loop at the top of the bead. Repeat three times for a total of four dangles.
Cut a length of jewelry wire approximately 10 inches long. Add 12 seed beads, followed by an orange dangle. Add 10 seed beads, followed by an orange saucer bead from the mix, 10 seed beads, an orange dangle, 10 seed beads, and a saucer bead. Make a mirror image of the bead pattern on the other side of the saucer bead.
Attach this strand to the remaining loops on the ends of your bracelet (right below the tassel and drop bead strand) in the same manner you added the previous strands.
Now we will create an extender for your bracelet, in case you need to adjust the length. Attach three 6.10mm jump rings linked together to the three jump rings already at the end of your bracelet. Add a couple beads from the mix onto a 2-inch silver head pin and make a wrapped loop at the top of the beads. Attach this dangle to the last jump ring.
