Crochet jewelry is a wonderful way to play with different types of beads in your designs. This necklace features crystal beads and Czech glass roundels in a fun purple color palette. Use beads like the ones we used, or you can find your favorite beads and make a necklace with your own flair with these instructions as your guide. It's easy to use almost any kind of beads in this technique, so feel free to get creative if the beads we used aren't available. Use size 10 crochet thread in a color that will match your beads. We used a lavender color thread, but switching up the color can change the entire look of the piece We also used a size E 4-3.5mm crochet hook to complete this design. Use a big eye needle to thread all of the required beads onto the crochet thread, working on a ball of thread. It doesn't hurt to string more than necessary, because when you cut your thread, you can always remove the beads you don't need. You can also add beads at that point if you need to. We added 4mm bicones, faceted rounds and Czech glass 3x5mm roundel beads in a random order, with the bigger Czech glass 6x9mm roundel beads interspersed. Keep in mind that one foot of strung beads is equivalent to about 1 1/2 feet of the crocheted design. Feel free to use different beads for your own take on this easy technique.

Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown below with quantities. Sometimes we sell out of components and aren’t able to order more from the manufacturer (we know, it is very disappointing to us, too). Use the opportunity to mix up the design and make it yours by substituting similar products or altering the entire color scheme—it’s up to you!
