One of my favorite color combinations is turquoise and coral. The combo works perfectly for a beach bag embellishment.
Give your plain beach bag a much needed face lift this summer by creating this fun starburst pattern in bright coral and turquoise colors. Customize this design by using colors that complement your beach bag, or adding other beads to your bag where you see fit. The sky is the limit with this project
On a 2-inch antique brass-plated eye pin, string an 8mm faceted bicone in crystal red magma, a 1-inch batik beauty bead in aqua and a 6mm XILION bicone in crystal red magma. Finish with a simple loop. Repeat seven times. Set aside.

Create a starburst pattern by alternating the three different eye pins from steps one through three. Use the silamide thread in aqua to sew them onto your bag. To help space out our eye pins, we cut out a paper circle the size of the inside diameter of the sunburst pattern and marked where we wanted to sew each eye pin.
String an antique vintage brass-plated pewter bead cap and a 14mm round large hole pearl in coral on a 2-inch antique brass-plated head pin. Finish with a wrapped loop. Repeat twice. Set aside.
On a head pin, string a 10mm round large hole pearl in coral and a 6mm crystal red magma bicone. Finish with a wrapped loop. Repeat. Set aside.

On a head pin, string an 8mm XILION bicone in Caribbean blue opal and a 4mm Caribbean blue opal round. Finish with a wrapped loop. Set aside.
To create the center cluster, cut the end off of a head pin, use the remaining wire from the pin to string through the wrapped loops of the dangles created from steps five through ten. Arrange them any way you want and then twist the pin to secure them. Sew the cluster to your bag using a needle and thread.

Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown
below with quantities. Sometimes we sell out of components and aren’t able to order more from
the manufacturer (we know, it is very disappointing to us, too). Use the opportunity to mix up
the design and make it yours by substituting similar products or altering the entire color
scheme—it’s up to you!
