For a winning display in your style, try combining seed beads with delicate chain Slide seed beads over the chain to make quick necklaces that you can layer together or wear alone. Switch up the colors to create a look suited to your taste. You can see more ideas for creating delicate jewelry in this Artbeads Cafe episode.
Note:
Not all 8/0 seed beads will fit over the chain used in this project. Because these seed beads are a tight fit over the chain, you may have to try out different beads in the batch to find ones that fit.
Cut a length of 1mm gold-plated brass delicate rolo chain approximately 16 1/2 inches long. To make it easier to thread the beads onto the chain, use a pair of chain nose pliers to flatten or compress the last 3 or 4 links on the chain. Turn the chain and flatten them in the other direction so they won't be too wide. You want them slender like a needle.
Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown below with quantities. Sometimes we sell out of components and aren’t able to order more from the manufacturer (we know, it is very disappointing to us, too). Use the opportunity to mix up the design and make it yours by substituting similar products or altering the entire color scheme—it’s up to you!
