Cheri has been designing jewelry and educational materials for Artbeads.com for years. Prior to her time at Artbeads, she spent 25 years working for several fine jewelry manufacturers in design and wax carving, including as an in-house jewelry designer for Nordstrom. She has designed hundreds of projects and tutorials for techniques of all types for the Artbeads Design Studio, including inspiring works in soutache, wire wrapping, and elegantly strung pieces. Cheri is also a frequent guest on the video series, Artbeads Cafe.
Here are just a few examples of her work.
She especially enjoys seed beading and loom weaving and is a master of blending colors together for magical results. Cheri started crafting at an early age and loved all forms, especially drawing and sewing. She made her first piece of jewelry in first grade: a floral brooch for her mother. She used newsprint paper mache for the petals and three-dimensional flower centers to make a stunning gift, though with an odd smell. The flower centers were made of Friskies dry cat food painted yellow!
