African Turquoise Jasper
African turquoise gemstone beads are a turquoise blue color with a black matrix (black lines and dots). This stone is mined in Africa and is actually a type of spotted teal jasper often used as imitation turquoise in jewelry. It is sometimes wrongly labeled as actual turquoise, but it is more common and therefore less expensive than its namesake. It is also harder and more durable than turquoise. This gemstone is thought to reduce headaches, help the wearer communicate better, and even draw money to the wearer.
