WireLuxe is a versatile beading foundation you will love using. It can be manipulated in many ways, you can sew beads onto the surface and much more. This Handy Tip will show you how to start working with WireLuxe and WireLace. When you receive your WireLuxe, you will notice that there is one narrow edge and one wider edge. The wider edge expands to curve the WireLuxe into a graceful necklace, like our What a Wonderful World
|STEP ONE||STEP TWO||STEP THREE|
|First, measure your WireLuxe for the desired length of your necklace. Then, using your fingers, carefully and gradually stretch the side of the WireLuxe with the wide edge to form a curved necklace.||For our What a Wonderful World necklace, we compressed the ends slightly and made the center wider, to draw the eye more toward the center of the necklace.||Either side of the WireLuxe can be manipulated to make a zig-zag pattern. The best part about WireLuxe, is that you can straighten out and try another way of shaping your project!|
|STEP FOUR||STEP FIVE||STEP SIX|
|After the desired shape has been achieved, work-harden the WireLuxe by squeezing the edges with nylon jaw pliers. The WireLuxe will maintain its shape.||To create a dangle, string a charm or pendant onto 1mm WireLace. Twist the ends of the WireLace together and add a drop of glue at the top of the twist.||With a collapsible eye needle, stitch your dangles onto the WireLuxe in the desired positions. Once the dangle is stitched into place, knot the WireLace on the reverse side and add a dab of adhesive to the knot for extra security.|
|STEP SEVEN||STEP EIGHT|
|Ribbon ends finish WireLuxe nicely. We used adhesive to hold the ribbon ends in place on our What a Wonderful World necklace. An extender adds versatility to your designs.||You can also experiment with shaping WireLace. This is an example of 12mm WireLace strung onto jewelry wire with 12mm pearls and faceted rounds.|
