The colors in this beautiful necklace remind us of the smoky colors of dusk on a winter afternoon. Our designer mixed texture and materials in a surprising way that creates a lightweight piece with a touch of industrial elegance.
The gunmetal-plated open jump rings are a little difficult to open and close. Make sure you have good chain nose pliers to work with.
Step one: For each link, string the beads listed below onto a 2-inch gunmetal-plated 20 gauge eye pin and finish with a simple loop. For help making Simple Loops please visit the Handy Tips section in the Learning Center. Link one; 3mm faceted round medium vitrail, black and beige freestyle pillow, 3mm vitrail. Link two; 12mm Swarovski antique brass pearl, 4mm faceted copper bicone, 6mm crystal khaki cube, copper bicone, antique brass pearl. Link three; 4mm faceted khaki bicone, 14mm hematite flat hexagon bead, khaki bicone. Link four; 4mm faceted lime bicone, 12mm Swarovski large hole light green pearl, lime bicone, green pearl, lime bicone. Link five; lime bicone, antique brass pearl, lime bicone. Link six; lime bicone, 5mm Swarovski light green pearl, khaki cube, light green pearl, lime bicone. Set all links aside.
Step two: Cut the gunmetal-plated twist link oval chain to approximately 24-inches leaving a round or oval twisted link on each end. Attach a 6mm gunmetal-plated open jump ring to each end of the chain. Set aside.
Step three: Attach two jump rings to each antique brass-plated textured circle link, and two jump rings to each gunmetal-plated hammered circle link Set aside.
Step four: Starting at one end of the chain, link together in this order; link one, link two, antique brass-plated textured circle link, link three, antique brass circle link, link four, gunmetal-plated hammered circle link, link five, gunmetal circle link, link six and then connect to the other end of the chain.
