Wedding Reception Bag Instructions Designed by Artbeads
We all dream of the flawless wedding, but I challenge you to find a bride who has actually had one! We created a reception bag, better known as an "emergency bag" for Maggie's wedding. In it you can stash lipstick, hairspray, bobby pins, band-aids, aspirin, feminine needs, safety pins or any other thing you can think of that may come up. You will want to make sure the bride has nothing to worry about on her big day and this bag is a great way to tuck all of those messy little necessities away! You can buy a ready-made bag, or simply sew one from a circle of fabric.
Step one: Apply Swarovski SS16 and SS20 crystal AB hotfix flatback rhinestone crystals randomly to the outside of the bag. If you have a bag that can lie flat (this one opens all the way) we recommend using hotfix crystals and the Bejeweler Pro. If you do not, it may be easier to use Gem Tac adhesive with non-hotfix crystals.
Step two: For the top of the bag, we simply did a quick looping stitch of the mixed bag of Toho seed beads around the edges. Using Nymo D thread, just pick up about½ inch of beads at a time in a random pattern and then loop through the fabric. Continue in this manner until you have completed the bag.
