Watercolor Bouquet Necklace Instructions Designed by Cynthia Kimura
This stunning necklace exudes simple elegance. It takes care to make, but is not difficult at all.
Step one: Start with one foot of sterling silver round link chain, 20 sterling silver jump rings and your Swarovski bicone pendants. Beginning on the second link of chain, attach a bicone to every other loop, alternating colors, until you have 10 pendants strung. Do the same on the other end of the chain.
Step two: Once you have all of the pendants on the chain (there should be a gap in the middle with no beads on it) begin to string the ribbon through the first link of chain, then the eight, then every sixth link for four more segments (see photo). Leave 10 links in the center, then string every six links until you reach the end. If you have extra links, just leave one or two between each loop - it does not need to be precise.
Step three: Gather the chain in the center of the silk. On the bottommost link, attach the pendant using the large silver jump ring.
Step four: String a 7mm matte/satin sterling silver seamless round bead onto the ends of the ribbon and tie a knot under at the very end. By leaving the ends unfinished you can make the necklace any length you like depending on where you tie the bow when it is on your neck.
