This Venetian round bead has a transparent peridot exterior that surrounds its opaque white center. Venetian glass beads are made by holding glass rods over a flame, then gently working the molten glass over the mandrels. Due to the handmade nature of these beads, there might be rough edges around the bead holes, created where the glass connects to the mandrel.
