The Victorian look of this ornament will give your Christmas tree a touch of vintage beauty. The classic image of the ice skater combines with the antique oval pendant and the gorgeous SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS crystal rounds to create a work of art that is sure to become a holiday tradition!
Step one: Apply a piece of clear packaging tape over the surface of the image to seal it before applying Magic-Glos, per manufacturer's instructions. Cut the image to the desired size and shape.
Step two: Glue the image to the surface of the antique brass oval frame pendant and allow it to dry completely.
Step three: Apply Magic-Glos to the surface of the image to form a slight mound. Be sure to follow manufacturer's instructions. Place the pendant under a UV light to cure. This can take from five to fifteen minutes depending on how thick the Magic-Glos is applied.
Step four: On a 1-inch piece of wire form a simple loop at one end. Add a 6mm round padparadscha. Finish with a simple loop. Repeat once. Repeat four more times, this time use the 4mm faceted round padparadscha.
Step five: For the s-shaped link, cut a ½ inch piece of 22 gauge bronze wire. Make a simple loop on one end of the wire. For help making simple loops please visit the Handy Tips section in the Learning Center. Make a simple loop on the other end of the wire in the opposite direction of the first loop, thus forming an "S". Repeat three times.
Step six: Link together in the following order: a 4mm padparadscha link from step four, another 4mm padparadscha link and an s-link from step five. Repeat once. Connect these two sections to one of the loops on one of the 6mm padparadscha links. Attach this beaded section to the pendant by connecting one of the s-links to one side of the leaves at the top of the pendant and the other s-link to the other side of the leaves.
Step seven: On a 1.5-inch antique brass-plated head pin add a 4mm padparadscha and finish with a simple loop. Repeat three times. Connect one of these to an "S" link and attach it to one side of the leaves at the bottom of the pendant. Repeat for the other side of the leaves. Connect the last 6mm padparadscha and 4mm padparadscha together and connect it to the bottom ring on the pendant.
