Show your friends your devotion with handmade friendship bracelets! We just love the combination of color and components that give this bracelet a look perfect for men or women alike.
Step one: Cut one two yard piece of .5mm 10lb test hemp in natural and one two yard piece in black. Fold both pieces 18-inches from the end. Now you have two 18-inch strands and two 6 foot strands. Gather the strands together and knot 4-inches from the fold. Tape the knotted end to the work surface or pin to a knotting board.
Step two: Position the two short strands, one natural and one black in the center and tape down. Position the long natural strand to the left of the center strands and the black to the right.
Step three: Make ten square knots. For help making square knots please visit The Square Knot in the Handy Tips section in the Learning Center. Remove the tape from the center strands and thread a 7mm porcelain flat square yellow spirals bead onto the two center strands. Re-tape.
Step four: Make seven square knots, add a spiral bead. Repeat four times.
Step five: Make ten square knots and then gather all four strands and knot together to secure.
Step six: Trim the tails to even them. Gather two strands together and knot approximately 1½ inch from the end. Thread a 5mm round glazed porcelain bead in wicker onto both strands and then knot to finish. Repeat for the other two strands.
Step seven: Repeat step six to finish the other end of the bracelet.
