Creation:Herringbone Necklace
"This lovely color is set off with farfaille purple iris seed beads, and purple pearls. The herringone design curves naturally with the weave, and the pendant of pearls was created using chain maille techniques and wire wrapping. The herringbone section is too wide for the back of the neck, so this necklace is finished with a 14 kt gold-filled chain maille weave. The clasp is handmade to match, and the terminal end of the chain includes dangles of the cube, pearl, and farfaille seed bead components.
The cubes were very easy to use with their large holes. This necklace is very fluid, but strong because of the shocking pink 10lb test fireline I employed as a thread. Even with a tight tension on the cubes to make them lie flat, the beads held up well and resulted in a stunning piece."
