These adorable magnets will add a splash of color and sparkle to your fridge, magnet board or file cabinet! We recycled our bits of left over Beadalon® and the Tohos we found in our couch cushions to make these super inexpensive magnets. We love the Swarovski pendant, but you can use any leftover beads you like, stone, wood, glass, even resin!
Step one: Cut a length of Beadalon® clear blue wire to approximately 3 1/2 inches. Flatten a 1.8mm sterling silver round crimp bead on one end of it and add a mix of the silver-lined light amber and silver-lined crystal Toho beads until you have about an inch of beads. Add another crimp bead. String the wire through the hole in the Swarovski starfish pendant and run the wire back through the crimp; flatten the crimp bead with your chain nose pliers. String another inch or so of beads and finish with another flattened crimp bead. Trim the excess wire.
Step two: Put a dab of E-6000 glue onto a small magnet (these can be found at craft or office supply stores) and place the starfish on top of the magnet. Allow the glue to dry. You can make these with any color you like and have little shooting stars all over your world.
