Embark on an enchanting adventure full of colorful surprises with Monet's Garden! Add some playfulness to your wardrobe with bright Swarovski crystals and a delightful lampwork focal piece.
Step one:
Glue the TierraCast antique silver large-hole royal bail to the JC Herrell green with aqua stripes glass baby berry bead using 5-minute 2-part epoxy. Allow to dry.
Step two:
Cut two strands of silver-plated small oval link chain each approximately 1 inch long. Attach one end of each chain to a single 0.90x4.60mm sterling silver open jump ring. Watch our Handy Tip video on how to use jump rings if you need help. Connect this jump ring to one JBB tulip link, attaching it to the loop at the bottom of the flower shape. Repeat and set all aside.
Step three:
Cut five strands of jewelry wire each approximately 12 inches long. Slide the bail onto all five strands so it sits in the center.
Step four:
Add the following beads onto each side of the focal (to each strand): one Swarovski 4mm bicones in Crystal Astral Pink, one bicone in Citrine and one 4mm bicone in Crystal Astral Pink. Add a bead stopper to the right side of the focal to hold these beads in place.
Step five:
String approximately 2.5 to 3 inches of beads in a random pattern onto each wire, to the left of the focal, using the TierraCast spacers; Swarovski mini round beads in Fern Green and Indicolite; the Swarovski bicones in Citrine, Light Rose and Crystal Astral Pink; and the Swarovski 3mm and 5mm round pearls in Jade. Avoid using the mini rounds at the ends of the wires. Add a bead stopper to the end to hold these beads in place.
Step six:
Remove the bead stopper to the right of the focal and repeat step five for the other side. Once both sides are strung, check for equal balance and a symmetrical feel.
Step seven:
Thread the ends through the holes of one sterling silver magic multipurpose finding, leaving tails about 2 inches long. Make sure one strand goes through the center hole. Crimp the finding to hold the strands in place using the Magic Finding pliers. Read how to properly crimp the magic finding by reading our Handy Tip here. Repeat this for the other side.
Step eight:
Cut the tails of the wires except for the center strand. Then, slide one TierraCast antique silver spiral cone over the crimped end.
Step nine:
String the following components onto the center wire:
one Swarovski 6mm XILION bicone in Citrine
one TierraCast antique silver Turkish hesishi spacer
one Swarovski 6mm mini round bead in Fern Green
one spacer
one Citrine bicone
Step ten:
Attach the wire to both of the open ends of chain of one tulip and chain piece from step two using one sterling silver 2x2mm crimp tube. Cover the crimp tube with one 3mm sterling silver crimp cover. Read our Handy Tips for both how to use a crimp tube and how to use a crimp cover if you need help. Repeat for the other side.
Step eleven:
Cut two strands of chain each approximately 6.5 inches long (or enough for the desired length of your necklace). Attach one end of each chain to the other side of the tulip link with a jump ring.
Step twelve:
Attach the open end of the chains to a new jump ring. Connect this jump ring to one half of the JBB sterling silver 30mm ornate flower toggle clasp.
Step thirteen:
Repeat steps eleven and twelve for the other side to complete the necklace.
