Superb Style Bracelet Instructions Designed by Cynthia Kimura
SuperDuo Duet seed beads create a fascinating display in this bracelet. These special SuperDuos feature one color on one half of the bead and an entirely different color on the other half. This color play will add shimmering movement to your style, especially in this bracelet!
Note:This bracelet uses the same pattern as our Dragon Scales bracelets. You can find step-by-step visuals for this pattern on the page for those bracelets.
Step one: Add a Miyuki 11/0 round seed bead in opaque metallic bronze to your thread, followed by a Matubo SuperDuo Duet 2x5mm 2-hole green turquoise and ivory Picasso seed bead. Repeat four more times to create your first row of beads.
Step two: At the end of the row, add a seed bead, a SuperUno Czech glass jet bronze bead, and another seed bead to the thread. Go through the second stringing hole of the last SuperDuo in the row. Add another SuperDuo to the thread and then go through the second stringing hole of the next SuperDuo in the first row. Repeat adding SuperDuos between each one in the first row until you reach the end of the row.
Step three: Add a seed bead, a SuperUno, another seed bead, and a SuperDuo to the thread. Bring your needle through the second stringing hole of the SuperDuo in the second row. Repeat the technique of adding SuperDuos between beads from the previous row, then repeat steps 2 and 3 until your bracelet is the desired length.
Step four: After adding the last SuperDuo in your bracelet, add seed beads in between each SuperDuo in the last row. Your thread should be exiting out of the last SuperDuo in the row. Add as seed bead to the thread. Go through the seed bead on the edge of the bracelet next to it. Bring your needle through the SuperDuos until you reach the last SuperDuo on the other side of the bracelet.
Step five: On the other end of the bracelet, go through the last edge seed bead, the SuperDuo next to it and then the next seed bead in the row.
Step six: Go through the third seed bead in the row and then string five seed beads onto your thread, followed by half of the JBB antique brass-plated oval flower mini toggle clasp set and five more seed beads. Go back through the other side of the SuperDuo bead to create a loop. Pass through the seed beads, the clasp, and the SuperDuo a few times to create a secure loop. Make a knot in your thread and weave the tail through a few beads to hide it. Trim if necessary.
Step seven: Start a new thread on the other side of the bracelet. Go through the second seed bead on the edge of the bracelet and the SuperDuo below it.
Step eight: Go through the second seed bead in the last row, the SuperDuo next to it and the third seed bead in the row.
Step nine: Repeat step six to add the other half of the clasp to this side of the bracelet.
