Cut a length of thread about one yard long and string a needle on to one end. Then, using your needle, add a seed bead from the Rock Candy 8/0 Designer Seed Bead Blend to the thread, followed by a Preciosa Czech glass 5x7mm opaque red alabaster pip bead. Repeat this pattern four times. Tie the ends of your thread together, so that the pip beads and seed beads form a ring. Make sure they are snug and knot the thread. Weave the tail into a few beads and trim the tail.
Bring your thread so that it is exiting out of a pip bead. Add a seed bead and then go through the next pip bead.
Repeat the previous step all the way around the ring. When you add your last seed bead, go through the next pip bead and the seed bead beside it.
Your thread is now exiting out of a seed bead in the first ring. Add another seed bead to the thread and go through the next seed bead in the first ring.
Add another seed bead and go through the next seed bead in the first ring.
Repeat this process until you have made your way all the way around the flower. When you add the last seed bead, add another seed bead with it so that there are two together. Then go through the next seed bead in the first ring.
Now you can add a seed bead to your thread and go through the next bead in the ring you just created. Continue this to fill in the gaps of this ring. When you add your last seed bead, go through the next two seed beads in the ring.
Thread a Swarovski 4mm round pearl in Neon Orange onto the thread. Bring your thread through the two seed beads on the other side of the ring so that the pearl lies in the center of the ring. You can bring the thread around the ring and back through the pearl if you want to strengthen the hold.
Bring your thread so that it is exiting out a seed bead that lines up with the seed beads in the rings below it. Bring your thread through the seed bead directly below it, then around through the other side of the seed bead on the outer ring.
Pull your thread tight.
Add four seed beads, then bring your thread back around through the other side of the seed bead to form a loop. Bring your thread through the loop a few times to strengthen it. Then secure and trim your thread. Open the loop on the sterling silver flat earwire with 2mm bead and attach it to the top of the seed bead loop you just created. Close the loop on the earwire. Repeat steps one through eleven to create the other earring.
