 | This sunny and bright necklace has a touch of elegance in its simplicity.
Step one: Cut a length of ZambaPro 49 .019 jewelry wire to approximately 20 inches. Using a 2x2mm crimp tube, crimp one end of the wire to a sterling silver open jump ring. Cover with a crimp cover. For detailed instructions on how to use crimp tubes and crimp covers visit the Handy Tips section of the Learning Center.
Step two: Prepare your pendant by attaching a series of three interlocking sterling silver jump rings to the top of it. This will allow it to hang correctly and dangle a bit from the necklace.
Step three: String a 4mm faceted round copper cat’s eye bead followed by a 12mm white lentil cat’s eye bead. Repeat this pattern 12 times, then string five 4mm copper cat’s eye beads. Add the pendant by stringing the wire through the top jump ring, add five more copper rounds, and then work back toward the end alternating 12 lentil and round beads.
Step four: When you have completed the pattern, crimp the remaining end of the wire to another open jump ring and cover with a crimp cover. Attach each jump ring to one end of the toggle clasp, and you are finished.
Approximate Length:
Approximate Cost: Under $30.00 (does not include stringing material)
Note: To save money and materials, make the bracelet as well! You will have leftover beads from the cat’s eye strands that you can use in the bracelet design.
