This adorable Christmas ornament is fun and simple enough you can make it with your kids! Stock up for Christmas gifts or for your own tree!
Step one: Run a line of 1 1/16 inch Tacky Tape around the center of a Christmas ornament. At even intervals, create flower-like designs using oval and round jump rings (see picture). In the center of the round rings, place a dark metallic red bead from the mix pack of Tohos. Inside of the oval jump rings, press several color-lined sparkle crystal/purple Delicas.
Step two: As you work around the rest of the tape, simply mix transparent color lined semi-matte ruby and color-lined light topaz Delicas. Sprinkle them onto the tape and press them in.
Step three: Turn the ornament upside down in a drinking glass. Cut a circle from the Tacky Tape and adhere it to the center of the bottom of the ornament. Put the purple Delicas around the outside and the ruby and topaz in the middle of the circle.
Step four: Flip the ornament over and rest it in the glass with the top facing up. Apply a thin line of GS-Hypo cement around the top of the ornament. Make a ring of alternating ruby and topaz beads and an outer ring of light purple.
Step five: To make the hook for the ornament, simply cut a piece of red wire to approximately four inches. Run it through the top and make a twist in the wire. String a mix of the Toho beads to the end of the wire, then double it back on itself and twist to finish.
