"These wires are a wonderful idea, in principle. As noted, the maximum size bead for the short post style is 3mm. But several 2mm and 3mm gemstone beads I tried would not thread onto the rather heavy gauge silver. (And I think the silver should be rather heavy gauge!) I didn't try every bead in my bead box, but of the ones I tried the only one that fit was a 3mm Swarovski pearl. As a result, I expect to use the medium post style much more frequently.
If I were redesigning the wire, I would reduce the gauge a bit, and lengthen the post a smidgeon (about 2 mm)."4 of 5 people found this review helpful.
