This beautiful three-strand necklace is a wonderful design for spring and summer. It has tons of visual impact and a wonderful mix of materials. We recommend using a Chain Stä; to make the chain work a bit easier.
Step one: Using a 3x3mm sterling silver crimp tube, crimp the silk cord to the center loop on the back of the toggle clasp. Flatten with a chain nose pliers. String the other end through the center loop on the other side of the clasp and pull it until it is about 19 inches long, then flatten the crimp and trim the ends of the cord.
Step two: Cut a length of Beadalon® to approximately 20 inches. Crimp one end to an outside loop of the toggle clasp using a 2x2mm crimp tube. String a 5mm sterling silver seamless round bead followed by 3 peridot faceted roundels, a 6mm Swarovski faceted round light topaz bead and 3 more roundels. Repeat this pattern 13 more times and finish with another silver round bead. You should have about 17 inches strung. Crimp the end of the wire to the other side of the toggle. Make sure to pull tight so that the crimp is hidden in the silver bead when you are done.
Step three: Cut a length of chain to 20 inches and attach it to the remaining loops of the toggle using sterling silver open jump rings. Find the center three links of the chain and attach an open jump ring to each link. On each of those jump rings add two spiral links. Bring them together at the bottom and gather them all onto one (larger) jump ring. On the same jump ring, add a 21mm sterling silver hammered ring and close the jump ring. String a 12mm Swarovski graphic aqua bead onto a head pin and using a simple loop, also attach that to the jump ring. It should hang in the center of the hammered ring.
Step four: On both sides of the center links, count up five links on the chain and add another hammered ring. In these you will attach Swarovski 12mm graphic beads in crystal AB using the simple loop method. At the bottom of these two rings you will dangle a hammered silver round charm using an open jump ring.
Step five: Count up seven more links on either side and attach the final two hammered rings. Inside of the last rings you will dangle aqua graphic beads.
