This lovely "Spring Lotus" design flaunts three brilliant SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS crystals and is created from wrapped wire, allowing you to customize the ring size for the ideal fit. Perfect for bridal jewelry, this design can incorporate different crystals to match the wedding colors. Use this design to make thoughtful gifts for bridesmaids or a colorful accent for the bride.
Step one: Cut a 16 to 18-inch piece of half hard 22 gauge sterling silver wire, more for larger ring sizes. Find your desired size on a ring mandrel and work with one size larger.
Step two: Center the wire over the mandrel. Wrap one side of the wire around the mandrel and wrap the other side around the mandrel in the opposite direction. The band should now contain three strands of wire.
Step three: Thread one end of the wire through one side of the holes of three Swarovski silver-plated settings; we used one setting in Jonquil and two settings in Blue Zircon. Thread the other end of wire through the other side of the holes. Pull the wires tight and hold them in place while you carefully slide the ring off of the mandrel.
Step four: Wrap the ends of the wire five or six times over all three strands of the ring, it is important to keep the wire as tight as possible. Cut the excess wire on the outside of the ring so that it won't catch on the finger. The ring may be slightly misshapen at this point; simply slide it back onto the mandrel and re-shape.
