Tacky Tape allows you limitless design possibilities. If you are not a precision fanatic, this is the design for you! Go crazy with the Tacky Tape to make uneven, jagged stripes around the ornament and then just fill in the blanks!
Tip: When working with Tacky Tape, it is best to rest your ornaments in a drinking glass as you work. If you set it down while you work, you are likely to pick up dust and pet hair that you may not want as part of your design!
Step one: Place four connecting lengths of tape unevenly around the top of your Christmas ornament.
Step two: String approximately six feet of Nymo D onto an English beading needle. Press the tail of the thread into the center of one of the strips of tape. Run the thread to the outside of the tape and begin stringing Toho 3mm bugle metallic navy iris seed beads. Press them along the edges of the tape as you work your way around. When you complete one side, simply press the thread across the center of the tape and begin to work (in reverse) along the other side of the tape.
Step three: When you have your outsides secured, start stringing Toho 3mm bugle trans-rainbow soft gray seed beads. Fill in the center of the design, each time you reach the end of a row, reverse directions and weave back through a few beads of the row before it to secure the design.
Step four: When you complete the pattern, weave back and forth through the design in a zig-zag style a few times to secure the thread. Tie a knot in the end, pull it into a bead, and trim excess.
Step five: Repeat steps one through four on the bottom half of the ornament.
