No more looking for your glasses or worrying about taking them on and off for reading or driving. We have a simple, elegant solution for you! This delicate eyeglass holder has an uncomplicated design that will not detract from your jewelry.
Step one: Cut approximately 17 inches of drawn cable chain. Pre cut your lengths if that makes it easier for you. For this project we used two one inch segments and five three inch. They are five and twenty links respectively.
Step two: Begin with a one inch segment of chain and attach a sterling silver, 4.9x7.6mm, oval open jump ring with a gold and black eyeglass holder to one end of the links. Remember when using jump rings always open in a side to side motion, not up and down.
Step three: Using sterling silver, 22 gauge, half-hard wire, make a wrapped loop on the other end of the one inch segment. For detailed instructions on how to make a wrapped loop please see the Handy Tips section of our Learning Center. Add a 4.5mm sterling silver shiny saucer bead to the wire, followed by a 5mm night blue Swarovski pearl and another saucer bead. Finish that section by attaching the next (3 inch) segment using another wrapped loop.
Step four: Repeat step three five more times, finishing with the other one inch segment of chain. Attach the other black and gold eyeglass holder with an oval jump ring and you are done!
Simply slide your glasses through the holes of the eyeglass holder and tighten by pulling the gold wire snug.
