This colour and design are very versatile. I have used this particular shell in several different designs for customers. Some of the designs were for formal wear, and some were for day-to-day wear with less formal outfits.
Smoky topaz and high quality iolite go well with this, as does anything coloured olivine and antique copper or silver. Gunmetal coloured chain would also go well.
You can't find etched shells any better than those produced by - Lillypilly. The designs that Lillypilly chooses truly suit the shells. The dyes, when used, seem quite stable and evenly distributed. I have never yet seen any patchy dyeing.
You will find some variation in where the holes are placed on the shells - that is the only thing I think could be done better. Sometimes they are not centred on the etched designs.
