Shepherd's Hook Bookmark

Easy, inexpensive and unique; the three components that make up the perfect gift idea. This shepherd's hook bookmark is simple to embellish and will be a favorite gift amongst your book loving friends.
Step one: Cut a piece of Soft Touch .019 medium jewelry wire to approximately 5 inches. On one end make a tiny loop in the wire and slide a 1.8mm round crimp bead over the wire. Flatten in with your chain or flat nose pliers. Avoid leaving any excess wire hanging out of the end of the bead.
Step two: On the tail end of the wire string a 3.5mm daisy spacer, followed by a 3mm sterling silver corrugated round bead, another spacer, a 4mm Swarovski sapphire bicone, spacer, corrugated round, spacer, then a Czech glass 11x7mm red/clear swirl heart, another daisy spacer, round, and spacer.
Step three: You are now in the center of the design. Add a 16mm transparent red Czech glass heart. Make sure all of the bottoms of your hearts are facing the closed end of the wire. Reverse the original pattern as you work toward the other end of the wire.
Step four: When you reach the end of the pattern, you will attach the dangle to a shepherd's hook bookmark by stringing the remainder of the wire through a 2x2mm sterling silver crimp tube, then through the hole in the bookmark, and back through the tube.
