Colored string ups the color in a strand of translucent beads. It's an old trick that wholesalers use for making pale material--like rose quartz--look like they have more color than they actually do. The color of the string bounces around in the bead and enhances their hue. One of my customers inherited a necklace from her mother that was broken and had that "problem". The beads were beautifully cut but once we took the string out, the color was very very pale. This beading product worked well and made them look good and drape better than they had before. I would use it again.
