Step one: For the legs, attach a sterling silver open jump ring to a pewter lace boot charm and connect it to the loop of the antique silver glue-in beaded cap with loop. Use Quick Hold craft glue to attach the bead cap to a stoneware candy cane bead. Repeat for the other leg. Glue the legs to the congo red 35mm felt bead.
Step two: Cut approximately 4 inches of black ultra micro-fiber suede for the belt and wrap around the felt ball, secure with glue.
Step three: For the arms cut approximately 8 inches of hand dyed red silk ribbon. Glue the center of the ribbon to the top of the red felt ball where the head will be. Slide a pewter glove charm on one side of the ribbon. Fold the end of the ribbon up to the center and glue. Repeat for the other side.
Step four: For the head, glue the natural 20mm felt bead on top of the ribbon arms. Wrap a piece of white fuzzy fiber from the black and white embellishment fibers card around the neck two or three times for a collar. Tack with glue. Layer two or three rows of fiber for the beard. Tack with glue. Sew an 11/0 matte charcoal Toho bead for each eye. Cut a small piece of fiber from the snow white embellishment fibers mixed card for the mustache and tack with glue.
Step five: For the hat, cut approximately 12-inches of 26 gauge burgundy artistic wire, bend one end with a pair of chain nose pliers. Thread the 11/0 silver-lined ruby Toho beads and the 11/0 opaque cherry Toho beads in a random pattern to 11-inches. Add the 7mm natural felt bead and a Toho. Bend the end of the wire around the last Toho as a stopper.
Step six: To shape the hat into a cone, form a cone with a sheet of paper or card stock and tape. Wrap the beaded wire around the paper cone so that the coils are tight. Remove the cone. Glue the bottom coil to the head of the Santa. Cut a 10-inch piece of fiber for the hanger and loop around the next coil. Tie the end in a knot. Glue this coil to the bottom coil. Wrap a piece of fiber around the rim of the hat and tack with glue.
