Rain Chain Watch Band Instructions Designed by Cynthia Kimura
Reminiscent of the rain chains that adorn all the best homes, the blue of water and beaded chain make the most adorable watch band you will ever wear!
Step one: Use chain nose pliers to remove the spring bars on one side of the silvertone round rope watch face. Slide on a silver Kenyan heishi spacer, two 4mm Ceylon pastel blue cube Toho beads and another spacer. Put the bar back onto the watch.
Step two: Cut a 2½ inch piece of silver-plated rounded square link chain. You will want to cut the chain so that each end begins and ends with the tiny ring. Attach a sterling silver open jump ring to both ends of the chain and connect one end to the spring bar in-between the spacer and the Toho. Leave the other end free for now. Cut another piece of chain and repeat for the opposite side of the spring bar.
Step three: Cut a 7-inch piece of ZambaPro™ 49 .019 jewelry wire and wrap it around the spring bar in-between the two Tohos. On both strands string three round frosted silver-lined dark aqua Toho beads, a pewter antique silver faceted spacer, a deep aqua glass bamboo bead, spacer, three Tohos, spacer, bamboo bead, spacer three Tohos and a cube Toho. Use a sterling silver 2x2mm crimp tube to crimp to the center ring on one end of the bar clasp. Cover the crimp tube with a sterling silver crimp cover. For help using crimp tubes and crimp covers please visit the Handy Tips section in the Learning Center.
Step four: Use the jump rings on the ends of the chain sections to connect the chain to the outside loops of the bar clasp.
Step five: Repeat the steps for the other side of the watch.
