Popcorn & Cranberries Necklace Instructions
After you deck the halls this holiday season, be sure to deck yourself with this delightful necklace. We surrounded the cheerful stoneware snowman with our version of popcorn and cranberries. He is sure to melt your heart.
Step one: Cut a 34-inch piece of 1mm hemp. Fold the length in half and thread the fold through the stoneware snowman with bird pendant from front to back. Thread the tails through the fold and tighten.
Step two: With both strands together make a knot in the hemp. Add a natural 10mm felt bead and then tie another knot.
Step three: On one strand of hemp add a 1/4-inch space and then tie a knot. Add a harvest 5mm round glazed porcelain bead, a turquoise 5mm round glazed porcelain bead, a red 8mm round tube glazed porcelain bead, a felt bead, red bead, blue bead, yellow bead, knot, 1/4-inch space, knot, blue bead, red bead, blue bead and knot. Repeat once. Add a 1/4-inch space, followed by a blue bead, red bead, blue bead and knot. Repeat the pattern for the other side to the necklace.
Step four: To make the sliding closure, overlap the two ends of the hemp cord. Take the end of the cord on the right, and tie a simple overhand knot over the cord on the left. Then take the end of the cord on the left, and tie a knot over the cord on the right. Add a harvest bead to the tails, and knot the ends. Trim if necessary. |
