Inspired by our spring/summer 2011 fashion trend, this necklace is fun and colorful with a carefree tropical vibe.
Step one: First, create the dangles. Attach one 0.90 x 6.10mm open jump ring to each of the following components: a 17mm sterling silver resin jellyfish pendant, a 16mm Swarovski starfish pendant in Peridot and a sterling silver seashell charm. Attach a 0.90x4.60mm open jump ring to a sterling silver sand dollar pendant. Set these dangles aside.
Step two: Next, attach a 0.90 x 4.60mm open jump ring to the loop of a silver-plated pewter star toggle. Cut an 18-inch piece of ZambaPro™ jewelry wire and attach one end to the jump ring using a crimp tube. For help using crimp tools refer to the handy tips section of the learning center.
Step three: Thread the following blend of beads in a random pattern until you've reached 6.5 inches in length: 4mm Swarovski bicones in Citrine, 4mm fire-polished beads in metallic pink, 11/0 Miyuki silver-lined delicas in semi-matte aqua and 5x4mm light lavender roundels.
Step four: Thread a TierraCast® antique silver turtle bead followed by the metallic pink bead. Over the next 2.5-inches, thread a random pattern of roundels, bicones and delicas, and evenly space the dangles among them. Thread a metallic pink bead followed by a TierraCast® antique silver small shell bead. Check to see that the shell bead aligns with the turtle bead; you may need to add or remove a couple beads to make them even.
Step five: Finish the last 6.5-inches of the necklace using the same beads as in step three. Attach the end of the necklace to a 0.90 x 4.60mm open jump ring using a crimp tube and attach the bar of the clasp to the jump ring.
