Make this adorable felt egg to replace their sugary counterparts or to decorate your home with a touch of spring. A little basket or bird's nest is the perfect way to display these delicate beauties.
Step one: Mark the center top and bottom of the felt egg with a pencil. Cut a length of aqua Silamide beading thread that you are comfortable working with and stitch and knot it to the bottom center of the felt egg. We used approximately two feet and then added more when necessary. String ten 11/0 silver-lined teal Tohos, a 8/0 yellow-lined aqua Toho, a 6/0 higher-metallic royal purple Toho, an aqua Toho, six teal Tohos and a Czech glass large flat flower teal opal bead. Reverse the pattern and stitch and knot to the center top of the felt egg. Do not cut the thread.
Step two: Add five teal Tohos, an aqua Toho, five teal Tohos, a Czech flat flower, three teal Tohos, an aqua Toho and a purple Toho. Reverse the pattern and stitch to the center bottom of the felt egg.
Step three: Repeat step one, repeat step two and so on until you have six alternating strands of beads around the egg.
Step four: At the center bottom of the felt egg add the Czech glass large turquoise bellflower, three teal Tohos and a purple Toho. Go back through the Tohos and the bellflower and knot.
Step five: At the top of the egg add a purple Toho, an aqua, ten teal, an aqua, purple, aqua and ten teal Tohos. Go back through the first aqua and purple Tohos to make a loop. Knot.
