Papillon Earrings Instructions Designed by Cheri Carlson

Step one: Individually attach two Swarovski 4mm fire opal faceted rounds, one 6mm hyacinth faceted round and two 6mm fire opal faceted rounds to head pins and finish with simple loops. For help with simple loops click here. Then attach a jet faceted round to a head pin, followed by a 6mm sand opal crystal cube and finish the drop with a simple loop. Set these six drops aside.
Step two: Attach a 5mm gunmetal-plated open jump ring to the loop of the gunmetal-plated lever back earring. For more information on opening and closing jump rings, view this handy tip video.
Step three: Prepare approximately 2¾ inches (three links) of gunmetal-plated twist link chain. Attach the lever back to the center loop between the first and second link of the chain by slightly opening the jump ring. On the same chain loop, attach the 6mm and 4mm fire opal drops. Attach a hyacinth drop between the second and third links and at the end of the fourth link. On the opposite end of the chain (at the first link), attach the sand opal drop and the 4mm fire opal drop.
Step four: Repeat for the second earring.
